The splash guard of the PX models is interchangeable within all years of manufacture.
The early models have a silver-grey holder to which an additional splash guard made of rubber is attached.
This is also popular with customizers as it is freed from the rubber flap and looks quite sporty with some modifications.
Also quite slim and well fitting is the part of the models from year of manufacture 2001 up, which takes up the round shapes of the side covers and looks very harmonious.
Problems with the license plate mounting can become with the projecting and angular versions of the T5 as well as the models from 1998-2000.
Here the end of the splash guard protrudes far to the rear, so that a large license plate cannot be mounted without a large distance.
TIP: The splash guard is held from the inside of the body only by a so-called spring nut. These can be carefully levered off the plastic lugs and the splash guard removed.
